INSPIRATUS TECH’S BIOCHAR PLANT

in Sullana (Jibito), Perú

Our Sullana (Jibito) plant in northern Peru converts sugarcane leaves (“trash”, brosa) into high-value climate and agricultural products. We first clean, shred, and pelletize field-collected biomass, then process those pellets through pyrolysis to produce biochar at scale.

The facility is designed to solve a global challenge: what to do with sugarcane leaf residues that are often burned or wasted, while enabling scalable carbon removal and better soil performance across diverse crops.

WHY THIS PLANT MATTERS

Turns a global residue problem into a climate solution (sugarcane leaf waste)

Reduces open burning pressure and unmanaged residue emissions

Accelerates learning through R&D, trials, and regional projects

Enables scalable carbon removal through durable biochar pathways

Improves soil performance across multiple crops and soil challenges

Creates a replicable model for sugarcane regions worldwide (low-CAPEX, scalable)
